PISSED OFF GULLS ON THE SHOAL
Every year I take time to walk out on the shoal as much as the weather lets me. There is a big island about a half hour walk into the water from my beach. Sometimes wading in the water. Sometimes walking on the rocks. It is slow going. You kind of shuffle along in rock shoes avoiding the slippery rocks and generally taking in all the beautiful U.P. scenery has to offer.
Toward the end of the area of the shoal is a bigger island. This island is inhabited only by gulls and terns. Every time I go out there they get extremely PISSED OFF. If you don't think so, listen and watch this video. This is what they do the whole time I am on their turf.
The shoal is my most favorite place on the earth.
