Scout "Houdini" Alexander

Scout newest trick is when I leave her alone in the house she preforms an escape.
The first time she pushed out the screen and jumped out of the window on to the deck.

I am so smart, so the next time I close the window, (with about two inches left open to catch the lake breeze). I returned to find she either pawed the window to its hinge position
or used her mouth to pull it open. Then pushing out the screen to complete
her escape.

She doesn't go anywhere. She just hangs around the deck till I get back to find her with a look of bliss, ha I escaped on her face.

Scout and I made new friends at Big Shoal Beach today.
Holly and her sidekick 9 month old Trigger.
The dogs had a great romp in and out of the water.

With all the rain comes water ho;es that the dogs can romp in.
The wild flowers have also popped out everywhere.

It has been raining here for hours.
We need the rain.
Some lighting too.
Glad I mowed the lawn today.

Scout got a new outside kennel.
Storms were around all day today.
All the point dogs meet at the mailboxes today.

Scout and I went out to Long point today on our walk.
She seems to like being in the water this year.
Last year she stayed out of the water.
This year she has been going into Lake Huron on her own.

Scout and I are settling into island life.

My neighbor has a good garden going up here on the island.
I planted 5 earth boxes on the deck.
I am starting to work on the fish house landscaping too

UP ON DRUMMOND
MEMORIAL WEEKEND
2010

We finally arrived up on Drummond. The weather has been beautiful up here. We saw two bald eagles as we left the Ferry. The next morning we saw two other eagles cruising above the fish house.

The whale rock made it through another winter.

Scout was out on the shoal right in front of my house. The shoal was really built up there by the winter wave action. Scout loves to explore the area.

The fish house had no leaks or trees down.
It is good to be back.

THE FINISHED DECK !!!

Thanks to Pete and Pat, I now have a beautiful deck surrounding the fish house.
It is magnificent.
